Naomi Campbell is an acoustic Folk songwriter inspired by classic female R&B, Soul & Country singers.
Based in Liverpool, Naomi can be seen primarily in three-part harmony band Motel Sundown. Recently, Naomi has been working on her own material drawing inspiration from a hybrid of sounds combining softer Americana influences Gillian Welch, Sandy Denny and Emmylou Harris with the earthy, grittier vocals of the likes of Etta James and Bobbie Gentry.
Over the past year Naomi has been honing her live sound with shows across the UK supporting artists such as John Calvin Abney, Campbell/Jensen, and Muireann Bradley.
In March 2024 Naomi self-produced and released her debut single Tuesday’s News (“a sobering yet life-affirming slice of acoustic folk” – Liverpool Noise), inspired by the West Coast sounds of Laurel Canyon. Naomi’s second independent release This is Gold was released in July.
Whist performing across Nashville and Memphis last year, Naomi visited the world renowned Sun Studio where she recorded her original song, Don’t You Mind. Now, the single is set for release in November along with a full band version recorded in Liverpool at the Motor Museum recording studio.
